Center punches are designed for quick and accurate marking of points on the surface of a workpiece, such as wood, metal, or plastic. They are most commonly used for marking a point before starting to drill.

Marking makes it easier to start drilling by reducing the unfavorable effect of the drill bit slipping on the material's surface, the so-called "drill bit walking." The mark is created by striking the material with the sharp end of the punch. The traditional method of marking requires the use of a hammer.

The presented automatic center punches mark the material thanks to a powerful internal spring that drives a hardened steel firing pin. Thus, they eliminate the need to carry a heavy hammer. The punch does not need to be cocked—this happens automatically. As soon as the firing pin is pressed against the material and strikes it, you can repeat the action to mark the next point.

The punch features an adjustable impact force, which is used to optimally adjust the force to the hardness of the material being marked.

Instructions for use:

Place the center punch with its sharp end onto the material to be marked.
Press firmly by hand—the pin strikes the tip against the material. Once the pin has been pressed against the material and has struck it, you can repeat the operation to mark another point.
